We have a strict NO SMOKING policy.
Smoking outside is allowed ONLY if away from other guests, open windows, rooms and breakfast area. There is an additional $150 daily charge for smoke in the rooms. Our smoke detectors are overly sensitive and are interconnected. When the cover is removed from one or when one goes off, the alarm is sounded in ALL the rooms. (Yep, one of our guests found this out)
Please, NO pets!
Although we love animals, we simply do not have the facilities (inside or outside) for guests to bring them. I now charge an additional $150 a night for animals that are smuggled in.
Third person in room - We have a few rooms that will accommodate a third person - $25 more per night.
Children - Children are welcome.
Multiple Discounts do not apply
Occasionally we offer special deals or discounts. However, in the event we have agreed to pay a fee to a 3rd party for the reservation (for example, a travel agent, gift card fees or travel websites, etc.), the discount will not apply. If the "service" that has made the reservation for you does not charge you a fee, they usually charge the person on the other end! Also, if someone qualifies for several different types of discounts we may offer, we will honor whichever has the highest discount.
Payment due upon arrival (if not paid in advance).
Check ins will be completed at the restaurant (Shipwreck Lee's) When you are ready to check-out, all you will need to do is close the door and head on to your next destination!
We accept cash, MasterCard, VISA, Discover, American Express and checks if sent over 30 days in advance. A credit card is required to hold the room.
Regarding the rates & cancellation policy. . .
· Rates do not include tax (5.5%) and CC fee (1.5%).
· Full room rate for one night, applies for cancellations or failure to cancel (within 48 hours).
When a group reserves 4 or more rooms, 25% is due at time of reservation - Check or Credit Card.
Days reserved during August 5th - August 12th - $1000 due by check at time of reservation or by May 1st. Remaining amount due at time of check in. NO REFUNDS ON DEPOSITS DURING THE RALLY SO PLEASE BE SURE OF THE DATES.
FOR WORKAMPERS APPLYING FOR JOBS
We're in the Black Hills of South Dakota, 6 miles south of Rapid City as you head into the hills. Looking for an upbeat individual or couple who can work with us during the summer season for 2-4 months. We have a bed & breakfast, a small neighborhood grill/bar, a few RV hookups, a small bungalow and a few acres it all sits on. There are quite a few different jobs out here and we look to workampers first and then hire locally whatever jobs are not covered.
First we have an 8 room bed and breakfast. Need help in housekeeping, upkeep & maintenance in the rooms and surrounding area. Also could use some kitchen help.
Also have a small 2 bedroom 1 bath bungalow that gets rented several days at a time so similar assistance is needed there, breakfast is not included there.
There is also a small neighborhood grill/bar. We already have a crew there but if we have enough workampers, could be utilized to do maybe some minimal prepping, vacuuming, limited clean up here. This all sits on about 3 acres of land which needs mowed (riding mower) and weedeated. There is other yard work but it is limited since we are already landscaped, it's mainly upkeep.
Now a little about past workampers we have hired. We hire based on the jobs that we are trying to cover. We will hire individuals, couples and even have had couples where only one worked. I imagine families are probably rare but we have hired workampers with kids, we just let the parents know that we dont have playgrounds, pools, etc. and that they have to be sure someone can take care of the kids while they work. One year we even hired a couple without an RV which was rare, we just so happened to have had an RV and that is where they lived. We also do not mind if people have animals as long as they clean up after them.
For an RV or camper with 1-2 people: We will exchange FHU, for 20 hours total of work per week. The worker gets everything 1/2 price at the grill and a VIP card that get them into the attractions for cheap/free. If you work more than 20 hours in a week's time, we pay a check of $10 per hour. Of course the amount of hours you would work depends on how busy we are and how many workampers are working. We have had workampers that only wanted to work 20 hours and some that wanted to work a total of 30-40 hours.
