We are so easy to find. We're only 10 minutes southwest of Rapid City yet located on several acres of country property right at the foot of the Black Hills.
We are close to Hwy 16 on a paved road. Our location is a great starting point that leads you to the many attractions the Black Hills has
to offer. You have to pass us to get into the Black Hills
so this location is a great "base" to start your daily trips from.

from the AIRPORT
When you leave the
airport, head towards Rapid City. After
going about 5 miles, you will turn left on Truck Route 16 which turns
into Catron Blvd. After going about 9 miles, you turn left on Hwy 16 and go 2 miles. When you are parallel
to the huge dome of the Reptile Gardens, cross over the highway - Sweetgrass
is on the left right before the small bridge.
Turn in the driveway and follow the WELCOME sign, come on up the stone steps to check in.

from HWY 90
Take
exit 61 which is where the visitors center and Cabelas is located. You will even see signs that tell you that is
the way to Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Exit 61 is also called Truck Route 16 and Elk Vale Rd. Drive about 8-9 miles (road name changes
to Catron). You'll see another sign that tells you to turn left for Mt. Rushmore, that highway is called Hwy
16 and there is a water park on the left as you sit at the light.
Travel another 2 miles
and we are directly across the highway from the
Reptile Gardens. When you are parallel to the huge dome of the Reptile Gardens, cross over the highway (you'll even see a large HART RANCH sign which sits on the edge of our property) and you will
see Shipwreck Lee's and then Sweetgrass on the left. Turn in the driveway and
follow the WELCOME sign (to the right of the
garage), and come on up the
stone steps to check in.

from RAPID CITY
As you leave Rapid City heading southwest on Mt. Rushmore Road
(aka Hwy 16), go about 6 miles. When you reach Reptile Gardens, turn left across Hwy 16 right before
you pass their huge dome (which houses beautiful
plants and exotic birds). Within 30 seconds you will see a small restaurant, Shipwreck Lees, and then within 10 seconds you will see Sweetgrass on the left. Turn left into the large driveway and just as you pass the garage, you will see stone steps and a WELCOME sign, then come on up the
stone steps.
